Gordon Food Service is hiring for a 2nd Shift Freight Handler - part-time in Springfield, OH. Start at $18.60 per hour with a $1 second shift premium. Schedule is Fri, Sat, Sun, 2 PM–10 PM.

The role includes weekly pay, bonus opportunities, and benefits from day one. No experience required as training is provided; duties include pallet handling and inbound/outbound freight preparation. Employees may earn a $145 weekly bonus with a 5+ hour shift on at least 2 days.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F).
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Remove pallets from trailers and break down product for correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is accounted for and not received into inventory.
• Monitor pallets for structural integrity to ensure safe storage.

2nd Shift Freight Handler - Part-time

Distribution Center Address: 4980 Gateway Blvd. | Springfield, Ohio 45502

Pay:

Starting at $18.60/hour plus $1 second shift premium

• Plus, any performance incentives, bonuses, etc.
• This position is eligible for a $145 bonus per week. To qualify, employees must work a minimum of 5 hours on at least 2 days of the work week

Work Schedule

• Part - Time - Friday, Saturday & Sunday only
• Start time: 2 PM -10 PM

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you'll support our team by safely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration. You will also separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, ensure that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory, and account for the structural integrity of pallets. There’s no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
