Qualifications

• Safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
• Inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to maximize availability.
• Interpret verbal instructions and written orders.
• Apply basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Record shipping data accurately.
• Maintain basic maintenance skills to service equipment.
• Work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
• Use of forklift in the timely loading or unloading of finished product and raw materials to/from trucks/railcars, and from the production line.
• Interpret customer orders so as to pull, stage, load, and check materials in a manner that ensures accurate and timely shipment.
• Recording of shipping data and other results in the manner required.
• Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
• Active role in all plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as required by supervision.
• Adaptable to scheduling requirements including shiftwork, overtime, weekends, etc. where applicable.
