Job summary

USG is actively seeking a Warehouse Loader/Forklift Operator to join our plant operations. You will load and unload materials using a forklift, pull and stage orders, and ensure accurate shipment through precise data entry and record-keeping.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You will troubleshoot basic equipment, participate in safety and continuous improvement initiatives, and adapt to scheduling including potential overtime and weekends as

Qualifications

• Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to inspect and troubleshoot the forklift to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
• Interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
• Apply basic computer skills required for data entry and reporting.
• Proficient at accurately recording shipping data.
• Possess basic maintenance skills needed to help service equipment.
• Demonstrate effective teamwork and communication with coworkers.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety/housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse.
• Use forklift to load/unload finished products and raw materials to/from trucks/railcars and production lines.
• Interpret orders to pull, stage, load, and check materials for timely shipment.
• Record shipping data and related results as required.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance to service equipment.
• Support plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as directed.
• Be adaptable to scheduling including shift work, overtime, and weekends when needed.
