Job summary

GNS North America in Michigan is seeking a dependable forklift operator to support production by moving parts and materials across the floor. This non-exempt role requires careful handling, adherence to safety rules, and quality-focused work on a fast-paced shop floor.

The position is on 2nd shift, 2:30pm-10:30pm, with overtime and weekend work based on business needs. You'll travel between departments, maintain loads, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts while keeping the work area

Qualifications

• Operate forklift to move parts and materials across the production floor.
• Follow safety rules and use PPE as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work area following 5S principles.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to transport a variety of parts and materials between departments.
• Stack loads safely, keep ground clearance, and position loads at drop-off points.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report malfunctions.
• Assist with stock control, pulling and stocking parts as needed.
• Maintain safety, quality, and efficiency in daily tasks.
