2nd shift Forklift Operator / Warehouse Material Handler

Louisa Food Products, Inc. is seeking one (1) Forklift Operator / Material Handler for our Warehouse on the second shift. The role involves duties related to food processing, assembling, and packaging in a fast-paced environment within a cold freezer storage area. Starting salary is $20.50 per hour, with potential to increase to $21.50 per hour after 1 year, along with eligibility for semi-annual bonuses and other incentive programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Receiving, storage, handling, and shipping of products and ingredients.
2. Supplying the Production Department with required materials/ingredients.
3. Maintaining neat and clean storage areas.
4. Working across different storage areas including dry goods, cooler, and freezer.
5. Accurately completing paperwork and communicating effectively in English.
6. Overtime may be required on short notice.
7. Emphasizing teamwork in daily operations.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

1. Prolonged standing required.
2. Operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, deep reach trucks, and hand jacks.
3. Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
4. Awareness of safety procedures is essential.
5. Exposure to variable temperatures, including hot and cold.
6. Wet and slippery floors requiring proper footwear.
7. Use of safety hearing protection in noisy environments.
