Job summary

Flex-N-Gate LLC. is hiring a Forklift Driver for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) in Urbana, IL. The role involves safe operation of powered industrial vehicles to move materials throughout the facility, with mandatory overtime as needed.

The position reports to the Paint Supervisor and requires English communication, safety compliance, and the ability to work outdoors/indoors under varying conditions. Shift includes breaks and overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must demonstrate understanding of health and safety compliance training materials written in English.
• Use of basic hand tools such as wrenches and pliers.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift continuously during shift to transport materials.
• Empty trash dumpsters using a forklift.
• Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Climbs in/out of forklift as needed.
• Uses forklift controls with both hands; maintains proper posture.
• Maintains neck/spine mobility for reversing and looking around while moving product.
• Changes 45‑pound propane cylinders up to 50 inches high per shift.
• Operates forklifts across shifts, including nights; maintains clear vision in low light.
• Meets visual requirement of 20/40 with correction.
• Keeps forklift certification current.
