Job summary

Flex-N-Gate in Urbana, IL, is seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our manufacturing team. The role involves safe operation of powered industrial vehicles to move materials throughout the facility, indoors and outdoors, while complying with strict safety standards.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour with increases to $22.50 after 90 days and $23.00 after six months. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed. Reports to the Paint Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English.
• Health and safety training conducted in English.
• Use of basic hand tools such as wrenches and pliers.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously sit while driving and operating a forklift during shift; safely transport materials throughout the facility using powered industrial vehicles.
• Empty trash dumpsters using a forklift.
• Work indoors and outdoors, exposed to heat, cold, and rain as needed.
• Climb in/out of forklift safely (20-inch first step, 10-inch second step).
• Use forklift controls with steady right-hand and pedal use.
• Maintain neck/spine mobility to look behind and up/down when moving products.
• Change a 45-pound propane cylinder mounted up to 50 inches high per shift.
• Operate forklifts across all shifts, including nights; ensure vision in low-light conditions.
