Job summary

Nestlé USA in Schaumburg, IL is hiring a production sanitation associate to clean and sanitize equipment and work areas, ensuring food safety and quality. The role is hands-on, operates CIP systems, and supports changeovers across shifts to keep operations running smoothly.

The position pays $22.75 per hour plus a night-shift differential of $0.75 per hour, with 5-day schedules and potential OT. A high school diploma or GED and forklift certification (or the ability to obtain) are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Ability to read and understand English for safety procedures and documentation.
• Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime and extended shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and designated areas to meet safety and quality standards.
• Operate sanitation and CIP equipment to ensure proper cleaning of equipment.
• Support allergen cleanups and sanitation in cold/freezer environments.
• Perform pre-operational checks and support changeovers between shifts.
• Inspect and document results; complete sanitation/CIP paperwork accurately.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and ensure proper labeling and hazard controls.
• Keep sanitation tools in good order and report issues promptly.
• Follow safety rules including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements; report hazards.
• Adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and company policies; support ongoing improvements.
• Contribute ideas to reduce waste, labor, or costs and maintain workplace organization.
