Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is hiring a Sanitation Technician to ensure cleanliness of the building and equipment and to support changeover parts. You will follow SOPs and cGMPs to maintain product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The Day Shift runs 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with a 2/2/3 schedule. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate basic digital devices, and work safely in a facility handling powders and allergens.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior manufacturing/sanitation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures including Nestlé Life Saving Rules.
• Ability to speak, read, write in English and comprehend simple instructions.
• Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend, etc.
• Required to utilize basic digital devices such as computers, iPad, etc.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processes.
• Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.

Responsibilities

• Cleans equipment and changeover parts using proper methods.
• Ensures residual material is removed and equipment is clean.
• Washes parts using dishwasher/sinks with approved detergents.
• Stores cleaned equipment to prevent contamination.
• Labels cleaned equipment with clean status and expiration date.
• Assists with cleaning and overflow in Packaging/manufacturing.
• Complies with policies and maintains attendance.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Cleans bathrooms, kitchens, offices, conference rooms.
• Collects and disposes of garbage.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
