Job summary

Shank’s Extracts, LLC d/b/a Universal Ingredients is hiring for a 2nd Shift Machine Operator in Lancaster, PA. This full-time role focuses on operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring safety and quality, and collaborating with maintenance and engineering to optimize line performance.

Required are 3–5 years in high-speed food manufacturing, high school diploma or equivalent (tech degree a plus), and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Able to meet production schedules with a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production equipment across departments.
• Keep a safe, clean work environment adhering to safety and quality policies.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and adjust settings as needed.
• Record data manually and via charting; ensure compliance with safety and GMPs.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to optimize line performance.
• Support start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers; participate in SOP development.
