Shank’s Extracts, LLC d/b/a Universal Ingredients – Shank’s in Lancaster, PA, seeks a Control Room Operator for 2nd shift to manage material flow and support production goals. You will monitor processes, work with QA, and help optimize scheduling in a fast-paced, food-manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong English skills, 3–5 years on a high-speed line, and the ability to multitask while maintaining safety and quality standards. Competitive benefits available on hire.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
• Knowledgeable on processing equipment (pumps, blending tanks, hoses, agitator, valves).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Ability to meet production schedules or deadlines with a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and use good judgment.
• Able to multitask and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Direct material flow throughout multiple juice processing and extraction areas.
• Partner with quality assurance on material approval and timing.
• Work with lead operators to optimize schedules for maximum effectiveness.
• Communicate with team leaders and machine operators.
• Participate in team-driven activities for production improvements or new product development.
• Operate control panel or manually open valves to move product to designated tanks.
• Track materials usage and production output as needed.
• Collaborate with maintenance, CI, and engineering to improve line performance.
• Adhere to SOPs, safety and food safety practices.
