Pratt Industries in Sandston, VA is seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator to run the folder gluer. You will set up, operate, and maintain the line, ensuring quality and minimizing waste. You will also train others, monitor production data, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing running a machine; corrugated industry preferred.
• Ability to learn and assist in mechanical setup.
• Able to troubleshoot problems and assist in repairs.
• Familiar with production software and production specs.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient set-up of folding and gluing operations.
• Minimize waste of sheet stock and glue.
• Operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Ensure diagonal and corrugator scores are broken when necessary.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Assist in training Post job positions and learn various box styles.
• Check quality of boxes during run for defects.
• Complete Production Data, Machine Status, Safety and Quality reports.
• Submit maintenance work orders; proactively maintain equipment.
• Adhere to production schedule; suggest scheduling improvements.
• Comply with all policies including safety and housekeeping.
