Job summary

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking a Machine Operator to cut foam to customer specifications in our Bedding division. You will report to the shift lead, monitor multiple machines, and ensure accurate sizes per tickets. Attention to detail and safe work practices are essential.

You will also help with material handling, tagging, and basic quality checks, while supporting cross-training for new equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required, and basic computer skills are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and ticketing.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and personal protective equipment usage.

Responsibilities

• Report to the lead to determine what needs to be cut or slit inside each shift.
• Check tags and measure each block before cutting to ensure correct sizes.
• Assist unloading machines when needed.
• Re-measure after cutting to ensure proper size according to the ticket.
• Assist others in pulling blocks from the wall that can be used.
• Change blades as needed and comply with glove safety requirements.
