Job summary

ProAmpac Battle Creek is seeking a skilled 2nd Press Operator to support high-speed flexographic printing in a packaging manufacturing facility. You will work with the Press Operator to set up, operate, monitor, and maintain presses to deliver quality products for diverse industries.

The ideal candidate has printing/manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow procedures, document production data, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in printing, packaging, or manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read job instructions and production documents.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with SPC techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist with press setup and operate printing equipment per specs.
• Prepare inks, cylinders, plates, and sleeves.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Complete quality checks and production documentation.
• Record raw materials data in AS400.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
