Job summary

American Sugar Refining is seeking a Flexographic Press Operator for the 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will set up and operate a flexographic press to print on rolls of film, paper, and nonabsorbent stock, following job orders and quality checks.

You will change plates, monitor ink pumps, adjust press settings, perform quality inspections, and keep the work area organized. Overtime and meetings may be required; experience with wide web CI flexography preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1-year certificate from college/technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training.
Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate flexographic printing press.
Read and interpret job orders; identify errors and set up equipment accordingly.
Change plates and/or materials between orders.
Perform quality control inspections before and during production.
Maintain and clean machines according to specifications.
Operate material handling equipment to stage materials.
Monitor ink pumps; make press adjustments and troubleshoot issues.
Take press adjustments as required and ensure quality data is recorded.
