Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group is seeking a hands-on Finishing Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00 pm–1:30 am) to run our label finishing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will set up slitters, rewinders, die cutters, and inspection systems; complete changeovers; ensure color accuracy and quality; record production data; and maintain a clean, safe work area using 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of machine operation experience (printing or manufacturing preferred).
• Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Basic math and ruler-reading ability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate finishing equipment such as slitters, rewinders, die cutters, and inspection systems.
• Perform job changeovers, including loading materials, setting tensions, and adjusting machine settings.
• Complete start-up checklists and ensure jobs are run according to specifications.
• Inspect labels for quality, color, and registration accuracy.
• Identify, flag, and document defective material and communicate issues to leadership.
• Monitor production speeds, minimize waste, and meet daily production targets.
• Accurately record label counts, downtime, and production data in logs or systems.
• Package finished product according to customer specifications.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S practices).
• Communicate effectively with team members and the next shift regarding job status, issues, and priorities.

In This Role, You'll
