Job summary

The Pittsburgh Paints Company in Huron, OH is seeking a Production Associate – Filler/Strainer on the 2nd shift (3 PM–11 PM, Monday through Friday, with some overtime). You will work on our painting and coating production line using automated filling equipment and contribute to safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include setting up and monitoring filling equipment, performing quality checks, communicating issues to maintenance, lifting and moving materials, and supporting line

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read, understand, and follow instructions in English.
• Able to wear all required PPE (hard hat, steel/composite-toe safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses).
• Able to stand for long periods and climb stairs.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to safely operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT).
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices.
• Set up, monitor, troubleshoot, and interact with filling equipment as required.
• Perform quality inspections and checks (e.g., verify fill volumes, labeling, coding checks).
• Communicate issues in the department or with equipment to management or maintenance personnel.
• Lift cases or pails of product onto filling line conveyors.
• Drive powered industrial truck (PIT) to supply or remove materials or finished products.
• Keep work areas clean and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Maintain or assist with production line efficiency improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
