Job summary

Versova is seeking a Feed Mill Technician (2nd shift) in Croton, OH. The role oversees daily feed production, coordinates schedules, and operates the feed mill to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.

As part of the Feed Mill team, you will manage ingredient inventories, supervise load routing, and perform routine maintenance while supporting production demand, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years general work experience.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel; able to learn Beta Raven, FMM, and LogMeIn.
• Understanding of safe work practices including PPE, fall protection, and confined space entry.
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks: lift up to 55 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights up to 200 ft.
• Able to pass a PFT exam for respirator use.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as production demands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with quality, food safety, and site safety policies.
• Promote Versova Feed Teams’ Guiding Principles and Core Values.
• Ensure ingredients are placed in correct bin and communicate on loads.
• Enter loads for the day into FMM.
• Assist in maintaining sufficient ingredient inventory.
• Monitor batching system for efficient operation and correct load routing.
• Enter ingredient loads into Raven receiving system accurately.
• Complete required paperwork.
• Perform preventative maintenance and report issues with action plans.
• Deliver finished feed safely to layer and pullet bins.
