Job summary

Aviagen USA is seeking a 2nd shift Feed Mill Technician in Athens, Alabama to operate all processing equipment used in feed production. Responsibilities include receiving, batching, grinding, and pelleting, while maintaining cleanliness and bio-security.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic English/arithmetic skills, and proficiency with Word/Excel. Confidentiality and teamwork are essential, along with forklift operation ability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of business English and arithmetic.
• Computer literate; Microsoft Word and Excel experience.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to generate reports with extreme accuracy.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for production of feed including receiving, batching, grinding and pelleting.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and bio-security protocols.
• Complete FDA and production reports.
• Take daily inventories and assist with ISO sampling procedures.
• Engage in preventative maintenance and weekly plant fumigation.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
