Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to join our Altoona, IA team on the 2nd shift (1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.).

You will help keep feed production moving safely and efficiently, handling ingredient receiving, manufacturing, quality control, loadout, equipment care, and housekeeping. You will work with a team to meet safety standards and quality goals, record production data, and support scheduling and inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate professionally.
• Strong commitment to workplace and feed safety, with knowledge of cGMPs/OSHA/HACCP/FSMA.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs and operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate feed manufacturing equipment to efficiently produce high-quality feeds.
• Receive, store, mix, and prepare ingredients to meet quality standards.
• Load and unload trucks and complete loadout activities following procedures.
• Accurately record and document all feed manufactured during each shift.
• Support production scheduling and inventory control with management.
• Assist with equipment maintenance to support safe, reliable operations.
• Provide excellent customer service while collaborating with team members.
• Promote safety by following policies and maintaining a safe work environment.
