Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. is seeking a Feed Mill Operator for our Altoona, IA facility. This 2nd shift role (1:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) focuses on safe, efficient feed production, ingredient handling, and warehouse activities, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will operate equipment, manage ingredients, document production, and support scheduling while maintaining a culture of safety and teamwork. Prior manufacturing exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic computer knowledge, with strong verbal, written communication, and math skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate feed manufacturing equipment to efficiently manufacture high-quality feed products.
• Receive, store, mix, and prepare ingredients and livestock feeds per quality standards.
• Safely load and unload trucks, complete loadout activities, and follow warehouse protocols.
• Record and document all feed manufactured during each shift.
• Support production scheduling, inventory planning, and control of ingredients and finished products with management.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs to support safe, reliable operations.
• Provide excellent customer service while collaborating with team members.
• Promote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies and maintaining a safe work environment.
