Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Facilities Technician for the 2nd shift to support operation, maintenance, and reliability of our manufacturing and office facilities. You will perform hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting of facility infrastructure and building systems in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The role requires a mechanically and electrically capable technician who can troubleshoot problems independently, prioritize work, and maintain reliable facility

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on facilities, industrial maintenance, electrical, or related experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams, equipment manuals, and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Respond to facility service requests and prioritize work based on safety, operational impact, and urgency.
• Work independently during second shift while coordinating with day-shift Facilities personnel, vendors, contractors, and on-call resources as needed.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other building infrastructure issues.
• Monitor facility systems and respond to alarms, equipment failures, leaks, utility issues, and other operational needs.
• Support operation and maintenance of HVAC, exhaust systems, pumps, compressed air, industrial utilities, and other facility infrastructure.
• Support facility upgrades, equipment installations, remodels, and expansion projects in coordination with the 1st Shift Facilities team.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and escalate significant safety, equipment, or operational issues.
• Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, and documentation within the company's JIRA & CMMS system.
