Qualifications

• Two-year college diploma or equivalent experience with at least 3 years in facilities or maintenance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in facilities systems including HVAC and electrical
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, compliant workplaces
• Perform general maintenance and repair duties including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC support, and grounds maintenance
• Support facilities planning, including review of design costs, materials, and labor requirements
• Assist with internal office moves, workspace setup, furniture installation, and reconfigurations
• Develop and support facility plans, including performance specifications for equipment and infrastructure
• Identify and implement operational improvements, including environmentally sustainable practices
• Research and recommend solutions to reduce natural resource consumption and improve efficiency
• Resolve moderately complex issues through analysis and sound judgment
• Provide guidance and informal leadership to junior staff; may act as a mentor or team lead on assignments
• Determine methods and procedures for new tasks while working independently within established guidelines
