Job summary

ETS is hiring a Sheet Metal Fabricator for in-person work in Vermont. The role involves reading CAD drawings, cutting and assembling ductwork, and performing basic welds with a focus on safety and quality.

You will operate shop tools, use measuring devices, and participate in a fast-paced shop environment across multiple areas as needed. The position offers weekly pay, health insurance, and a new earned-wages-on-demand benefit to access pay before payday.

Qualifications

Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in high-quality industrial piping and ventilation systems. They are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team.

Your day-to-day as a Sheet Metal Fabricator:

• Read and interpret basic CAD drawings and manufacturing instructions for custom ductwork assemblies.
• Select, measure, and cut sheet metal using shop tools to precise specifications.
• Prepare and clean metal components by deburring, grinding, and sanding for downstream processes.
• Assemble and align sheet metal segments and damper components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Perform basic tack-welding to secure sub-assemblies for specialized welders.
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerance.

Your skills and experience:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.
• Willingness to operate a forklift after training.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Basic understanding of welding with a desire to learn more.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist in various shop areas as needed.
