ETS Staffing is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator for an in-person, 2nd shift position in Colchester, VT. The role involves reading basic CAD drawings, selecting and cutting sheet metal, and preparing components for assembly with precise tolerances.

You will perform light tack-welding, inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, and uphold safety and quality standards while adapting to a fast-paced shop environment. Weekly pay and on-demand wages are offered.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret basic CAD drawings and manufacturing instructions for ductwork.
• Read a tape measure to 1/32 inch and work with precise dimensions.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing shop.
• Willingness to learn more about welding and related processes.
• Able to operate in a fast-paced shop and assist in various areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret CAD drawings and instructions for ductwork.
• Select, measure, and cut sheet metal to precise specs.
• Prepare and clean metal components by deburring, grinding, and sanding.
• Assemble and align sheet metal segments and damper components.
• Perform basic tack-welding to secure sub-assemblies.

Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in high-quality industrial piping and ventilation systems. They are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team.

Your day-to-day as a Sheet Metal Fabricator:

• Read and interpret basic CAD drawings and manufacturing instructions for custom ductwork assemblies.
• Select, measure, and cut sheet metal using shop tools to precise specifications.
• Prepare and clean metal components by deburring, grinding, and sanding for downstream processes.
• Assemble and align sheet metal segments and damper components using hand tools and fixtures.
• Perform basic tack-welding to secure sub-assemblies for specialized welders.
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and tolerance.

Your skills and experience:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/32 inch.
• Willingness to operate a forklift after training.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Basic understanding of welding with a desire to learn more.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist in various shop areas as needed.
