Job summary

TP Mechanical is seeking a Fabrication Shop Construction Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication shop and field mechanical activities in data center and industrial environments. You will lead fabricators, pipefitters, welders, and installers, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality.

You will coordinate with project managers and engineers, review drawings, track progress, and mentor crew members to uphold high workmanship standards across piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction or fabrication (data center, industrial, or commercial).
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of fabricators, pipefitters, welders, and mechanical installers.
• Assign daily work tasks, monitor progress, and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor crew members to develop skills and maintain high performance standards.
• Supervise the fabrication of piping, ductwork, and support systems according to drawings and specifications.
• Oversee the field installation of HVAC, chilled water, condenser water, and other mechanical systems within data centers or industrial projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to align fabrication and installation schedules.
• Track materials, equipment, and labor resources to support timely project completion.
• Participate in project planning meetings to provide input on constructability and scheduling.
• Ensure proper documentation of fabrication progress, testing, and installation activities.
• Inspect completed work to ensure adherence to company standards, specifications, and local codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support testing, commissioning, and turnover of mechanical systems.
• All other duties as assigned.
