Job summary

TP Mechanical in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a fabrication shop supervisor to oversee fab floor workflow, estimate workloads, and schedule manpower.

You will drive on-time or ahead delivery, resolve day-to-day shop issues, and maintain accurate databases, spreadsheets, and production reports.

Successful candidates have at least 5 years in fab shop operations, with a background in plumbing, sheet metal, fire protection, or construction, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years prior Fab shop experience.
• Background in plumbing, sheet metal, fire protection and/or construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fab floor workflow, estimating, scheduling, and manpower.
• Maintain productivity to ensure on-time or ahead of schedule delivery.
• Resolve day-to-day work site issues including performance warnings, dispute resolution and employee relations.
• Communicate with customers, employees, and management in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keep fab shop databases, spreadsheets, and schedules up to date.
• Complete and distribute all paperwork associated with employees including attendance, performance, reviews, training and pay.
• Manage employee labor rates in coordination with Fab Shop Manager.
• Maintain TP Mechanical safety and quality standards.
• All other duties as assigned by Fabrication Shop Manager.

Qualifications And Experience

Experience/Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 5 years prior Fab shop experience.
• Background in plumbing. sheet metal, fire protection and/or construction preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 60 lbs. independently.
• Able to stand for up to eight hours per day.
