Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc., is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Fabrication Operator for our Lucas, Kansas facility. The role involves setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, shape, and bend metal parts. You will read job specifications, adjust machines, monitor quality, perform light maintenance, and help stage finished pieces.

The position runs Monday through Thursday, 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as needed.

Qualifications

Experience operating fabricating machines and reading work specs.
Ability to verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.
Familiarity with safety rules and protective equipment.

Responsibilities

Set up, tend and operate fabricating machines to cut, shape, and bend metal parts.
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale or program.
Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and report them.
Measure dimensions to verify accuracy and remove burrs or rust as needed.
Perform minor machine maintenance such as oiling dies and tools.
Assist in setting up machines and transporting finished pieces.
Follow Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations.
