Job summary

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder for our Lucas, KS facility. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

You will load fixtures and weld parts, read blueprints and AWS weld symbols, maintain inventory accuracy, and strive for quality welds while meeting production deadlines. MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test are preferred; Lean culture and safety rules apply.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test.

• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Read blueprints and follow AWS symbols to ensure quality welds.

Welder – 2nd Shift – Lucas, KS

Land Pride, a division of Great Plains Manufacturing, is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder for our facility in Lucas, KS. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., with overtime on Fridays as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Load fixtures and weld parts as required
• Safely use all tools necessary for the position
• Maintain inventory accuracy at all times
• Read blueprints and utilize AWS weld symbols as required for the position
• Consistently achieve quality welds while staying on production schedule
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.

Preferred Skills And Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and ability to pass weld test, as required.
• Ability to give strong attention to detail and stay on-task in a fast-paced environment
• Have a good understanding of team concepts and be a strong team player
• Ability to read blueprints and recognize AWS weld symbols
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools and welding equipment
• Capable of embracing a culture of Lean Manufacturing and willing to accept/implement change
• Ability to follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
