Job summary

Southern States LLC is seeking a Fabrication Operator 4 to read blueprints, setup and operate fabrication equipment, and ensure parts meet print specifications. The role emphasizes precise measurement, tool handling, and teamwork within a manufacturing environment in Hampton, GA.

You will perform multiple fabrication tasks including bending, punching, grinding, and finishing parts while maintaining a clean, safe work area and collaborating with teammates to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, shop notes and tooling instructions for specifications.
• WorkKeys Ready: Applied Math 3, Graphic Literacy 4, Workplace Observation 3.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, work orders, shop notes and tooling instructions for hole locations, sizes, bend lengths and angles.
• Communicate with team leader to determine the proper method to complete the assigned job.
• Operate vibration equipment and perform minor set ups on the contact bender.
• Bend contacts by placing parts in the bender and operating the lever.
• Verify bends by referencing the blueprint and print specs.
• Operate punch press machines (no setup required) and assemble parts as needed.
