The role involves bending, punching, soldering, and finishing metal parts to print specs, using benders, presses, grinders, and sanders. Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
• Math skills: add/subtract whole numbers, fractions, decimals; use scales and measuring tapes.
• Mandatory WorkKeys Ready: Applied Math 3, Graphic Literacy 4, Workplace Observation 3.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, work orders, and tooling instructions for hole locations, sizes, and bend lengths.
• Coordinate with team leader to determine the best method to complete jobs.
• Operate vibrator and bend contacts according to specifications.
• Perform minor setup on contact bender and operate punch press (no setup required).
• Assemble contacts by riveting and soldering; inspect against blueprint guidance.
• Grind, file, and sand aluminum or steel parts to print specifications.
• Keep the work area clean and equipment well-maintained.
