Job summary

Polyzen, Inc. in Apex, NC is seeking a 2nd shift Extrusion Production Technician I (Mon-Fri 3:00 pm-11:00 pm). You will support senior operators, run extrusion lines to meet product specs, and maintain GMP/GDP documentation and safety practices.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, basic math, blueprint reading, and proficiency with hand tools. We offer generous PTO, annual bonus, 401(k) with match, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, machine operations or a cleanroom environment.
• Knowledge to solve mathematical equations involving basic operations.
• Effective communication and collaboration with co-workers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to read, interpret, and utilize drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in operating hand tools or power equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior extrusion operators with machine setup, production, and development runs to meet product specifications.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on extrusion equipment, including inspections and safety checks.
• Follow GMP and GDP documentation practices and ensure quality records are completed.
• Use production travelers and docs to verify raw material accuracy before runs.
• Adhere to SOPs and ensure quality documentation is completed correctly.
• Assist in inspecting final products and support timely operational reviews by seniors.
