Job summary

Polyzen, Inc. in Apex, NC is hiring for a 2nd shift Extrusion Production Technician I (Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm-11:00 pm). The role supports the extrusion line to ensure efficient production and high-quality outputs, while contributing to safety, quality, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing, machine operations or cleanroom experience.
• Ability to solve mathematical equations involving units of measure.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools or power equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior extrusion operators in machine setup, production, and development runs to hit specified product specs.
• Perform troubleshooting and general maintenance of extrusion equipment including inspections and safety checks.
• Complete daily tasks following GMP and GDP practices.
• Use production travelers and other docs to verify raw material accuracy before runs.
• Follow SOPs and ensure quality documentation is completed correctly.
• Assist in inspecting final products and support timely operator reviews.
