Job summary

Waterloo Community School District is seeking a 2nd shift Central Middle/Stadium backup custodian to maintain a clean, safe environment across the Central Middle and stadium facilities in Waterloo, IA. The role reports to the Custodial Manager and Building Principal and requires physical stamina and reliability.

The position is full-time with a starting wage of $23.21 per hour; duties include overtime for events and backups for the primary stadium staff.

Qualifications

Mobility and agility to perform custodial work.
Ability to frequently lift and carry moderately heavy supplies.
Ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy supplies, equipment and furniture.
Ability to work outside and inside and in extreme temperatures/humidity.
Ability to climb a ladder up to 10 feet in height.
Ability to remove snow and ice from walks and to mow lawn.
Mobility/agility to perform all phases of custodial work.

Responsibilities

Perform all phases of custodial work generally assigned to custodians in the district.
Supervise facility needs for school events and rental activities.
Work overtime for school activities and outside rentals.
This person will act as a backup when our primary Memorial Stadium employee is not available.
Other duties as assigned by the Custodial Manager or Building Principal.
