Job summary

Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems in Buffalo, NY, seeks a 2nd Shift Assembler to join a team dedicated to state-of-the-art simulation systems. You will assemble electronic components, perform soldering and rework, and ensure adherence to build documentation.

The role requires basic assembly skills, safety discipline, and the ability to work with microscopes and small components. On-site, with 9/80 schedule and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Experience in assembly or electronics is preferred.
• Ability to solder at Class 2 level.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components using drawings, diagrams and job aids.
• Solder and rework circuit cards as needed.
• Operate basic production equipment safely (soldering stations, crimp tools, microscopes, ovens).
• Inspect workmanship and ensure compliance with build documentation.
• Record production data in travelers and shop floor systems.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers and supervisors to clarify instructions.
