Job summary

Datwyler in New Jersey seeks an Electro-Mechanic to maintain production lines, ensure quality performance, and keep manufacturing equipment running efficiently according to SOPs and GMP standards.

The role covers preventative maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and adherence to safety rules. Strong mechanical/electrical skills and PLC familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of related mechanical and electrical experience.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Licensure such as forklift, plumbing, electrical or boiler operator is a plus.
• Experience with HVAC and chiller systems.
• Ability to read English procedures and documentation.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Proficient with Mircosoft Office.
• Ability to learn GMP, SOPs and other procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, cleaning and repairs of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, switches, relays, contactor, starters, AC / DC drives and motor.
• Running conduit, wiring outlets, breakers, transformers, and lighting.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic/pneumatic valves and cylinders and replace or repair as needed.
• Rebuild rack and pinion on presses.
• Replace gears, pulleys and various belts on machines, exhaust fans and AC units.
• Maintains required records, logs, etc. with regard to inspections, testing, maintenance, installation and repairs of equipment and machinery.
