Job Type: Full-time

Description: The Electrician Maintenance Technician performs advanced troubleshooting and repairs of all plant equipment and production machinery. Must be self-motivated, capable of troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues in a production Casting and Machining environment. Expected to perform Preventative/predictive maintenance and conform to OSHA and Aludyne standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve, repair, and maintain electrical equipment promptly.
  • Locate and replace faulty electrical components.
  • Complete electrical upgrades and new installation projects, supporting Continuous Improvements.
  • Maintain plant lighting and electrical components of plant systems.
  • Possess knowledge of high voltage applications.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble all plant and production machinery.
  • Perform, analyze, and interpret various test equipment.
  • Collaborate with production personnel on quality issues and improvement projects.
  • Read electrical drawings, schematics, and ladder logic.
  • Wire panels, run conduit, trace wiring, and isolate electrical components.
  • Ensure electrical cabinet organization and wire tag legibility.
  • Perform plant 480V electrical thermography and document findings.
  • Attend seminars to enhance knowledge.

Requirements:
  • Journeyman Electrical license or 3-5 years of electrical experience.
  • Specialized electrical coursework.
  • Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Experience with machinery rigging, gearbox, and spindle repair; ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery including CNC centers, casting machines, and assembly equipment.
  • Understanding of operator interface terminals, VFDs, PLCs, and power supplies.
  • Ability to maintain and repair facility equipment.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, hot work permits, and safety guidelines.
  • Basic electrical and math skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
