Job summary

IES is seeking an Assembly Technician II for the 2nd shift (2pm-11pm) in Calera, AL. The role involves assembling, wiring, testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting electrical and electro-mechanical products per engineering specs and safety standards.

You will work with minimal supervision, interpret complex documentation, and support production of panels, switchgear, and bus duct systems while ensuring on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of assembly experience in electrical/electro-mechanical environments.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong understanding of electrical components and mechanical assemblies.
• Capable of troubleshooting assembly issues independently and documenting results.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, assembly drawings and work instructions.
• Assemble electrical panels, switchgear, bus duct systems and electro-mechanical equipment to specifications.
• Install and connect wiring, control components, circuit protection devices, bus bars, relays and transformers.
• Assemble frames, enclosures, mounting hardware and support structures; perform torqueing and adjustments.
