IES in US-AL-Calera is seeking an Assembly Technician II to join our Manufacturing team. You will assemble, wire, test, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical products per engineering specs and safety standards.

This role requires interpreting complex schematics, mentoring entry-level technicians, and supporting continuous improvement while maintaining quality and on-time delivery in a 2nd shift environment.

Qualifications

• Experience reading complex schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Extensive experience assembling electrical panels, switchgear and related equipment.
• Ability to install and connect wiring, components, and relays per specs.
• Experience with mechanical assemblies and tolerance adjustments.
• Proficient with hand tools, torque tools, measuring devices and testers.
• Familiarity with quality inspection methods and manufacturing docs.
• Able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues independently.
• Proficient with basic computer documentation and production reporting.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints to assemble panels and switchgear.
• Assemble electrical and electro-mechanical equipment per engineering specs.
• Test functionality and diagnose issues using electrical test equipment.
• Ensure quality through in-process and final inspections.
• Support process improvements and collaboration with engineering teams.
