Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for value-added / case-ready operations. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems on meat processing and packaging equipment to minimize downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance on motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and control panels, install and calibrate components in washdown environments, and read schematics and OEM manuals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of electrical maintenance experience in a meat processing or food manufacturing facility.
• Experience with automated packaging equipment and production lines preferred.
• Technical certification, trade school, or journeyman electrical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems on meat processing and packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, control panels, and automated lines.
• Install, test, and calibrate electrical components in a washdown, food-grade environment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, and OEM manuals (Multivac, packaging systems, etc.).
• Work with production and sanitation teams to ensure reliability and food safety compliance.
• Follow USDA, OSHA, and JBS safety standards including lockout/tagout procedures.
