Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Newburyport, MA is seeking an EDM Wire Machinist / Operator for 2nd shift to operate EDM equipment and interpret blueprints for precision parts. This 100% onsite role focuses on safety, quality, and timely production in a global aerospace manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a machine shop with at least 1 year as CNC Operator, strong English communication, and the ability to work in ITAR/EAR-regulated settings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with machinery in a machine shop, with at least 1 year as a CNC Operator.
• Must be proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and sketches and interpret technical information.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work in a safe manner, using PPE and following safety guidelines.
• Sets up and operates EDM machines and related equipment according to programs and fixtures.
• Edits and adjusts processes to meet work orders and blueprint specifications.
• Checks dimensional features and inspects finished parts for quality and quantity.
• Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat and orderly condition.
