Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. in Northbrook, IL is seeking a safety-conscious 2nd Shift Dry Blend Operator to produce dry blend flavors in blenders according to GMP rules.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to operate blending and packaging equipment efficiently. Responsibilities include reviewing orders, selecting the correct blender, loading raw materials, operating a forklift, mixing ingredients, packing products with proper labels, and ensuring compliance with GMP,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend English-language instructions, labels, reports, training materials, and posted safety information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Allergen, SSOP, Kosher guidelines.
• Physical ability to frequently lift 25-50 pounds.
• Experience with blending, packaging, and equipment operation including DOT/IATA/IMDG awareness.

Responsibilities

• Review orders and determine proper sequence based on customer needs.
• Choose the appropriate blender for the batch size.
• Load raw materials into a blender as required.
• Operate a forklift and use a lift table for large blenders.
• Mix ingredients with proper sequencing when plating.
• Conduct lab analysis on batches as required.
• Pack out products with labels and palletize shipments.
• Follow lockout procedures and cleaning guidelines.
• Maintain GMP, HACCP, Allergen, SSOP, Kosher compliance.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Provide backup support for other Dry Blend Operators.
• Perform other duties as required.
