Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a Dock Worker to assist in the day-to-day operations of the dock in Phoenix, AZ. You will help unload donations, support forklift operators, and ensure safety and cleanliness in the warehouse while maintaining regular in-person attendance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read and speak English, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to be trained and take direction.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading merchandise and minimize damage to donated materials.
• Safeguard company property and report theft or misappropriation.
• Assist forklift operators as required.
• Monitor dock and keep area clean and accessible for forklift operators.
• Sweep and clean warehouse and load/unload trucks safely.
• Follow safety rules and wear required PPE at all times.

Position Description

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the dock, including cleaning and providing assistance to the Forklift Operators of Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately assists with the unloading of merchandise, minimizing damage to donated materials.
• Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property.
• Assists Forklift operators, as required.
• Monitors dock and ensures all Gaylords are folded down and area is clean and accessible for Forklift Operators.
• Sweeps and cleans warehouse.
• Properly uses equipment to load and unload trucks.
• Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
