Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Salinas, CA is seeking a full-time Distribution Technician on B shift. You will pick, pack, and ship customer orders and operate material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment, following LMS guidelines and standard procedures.

The role requires ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds, maintain safety, and potential overtime on short notice. RF terminal experience and a high school diploma are preferred; pay ranges from $16.50 to $24.62 per hour

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain a forklift license via McCormick.
Able to work in an environment with spice dust, noise, and temperature extremes.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds continually and 25–50 pounds frequently.
Overtime on short notice may be required.

Responsibilities

Performs assignments in one of seven activity groups: Order Selection, Replenishment, Inbound, Outbound, Returns, Organizer, Repack/Hazmat.
Operates transporter, stand-up, reach or sit-down fork truck.
Completes all paperwork and system transactions per SOPs; labels, tagging, and customer placards as required.
Identifies and communicates issues to shift Leader or Manager.
Attends shift meetings and suggests process improvements.
Performs general duties including sanitation and battery changing.
Other duties as assigned.
