Job summary

Continuum Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide for the 2nd shift at a Long-Term Care Facility in Kentucky. You will assist with meal service, dishwashing, and maintaining sanitary food-handling practices to ensure residents receive appetizing, well-portioned meals.

Qualifications

• Experience providing quality resident services and evaluating satisfaction.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle emergencies.
• Working knowledge of sanitary practices relating to food handling.
• Good communication with residents and families.
• Ability to identify and report problems in the daily work routine.
• Must perform dishwashing tasks.
• Part Time and Full Time Openings Across All Shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run dishes and silverware through dish machine following proper procedures and provides excellent resident service within established guidelines
• Clean and maintain certain equipment and areas as designated by management
• Keep sufficient supply of china, silverware, trays, cups and glasses during service periods.
• Serves meals to residents in dining areas in accordance with established portion control procedures that are appetizing in appearance
• May be required to complete daily cleaning assignments that include but are not limited to cleaning up spilled food, drinks and broken dishes, unloading dishwasher and removing empty bottles and disposing of trash
• Participates in the departmental cleaning and recycling program
• Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility / state guidelines
