Job summary

DeVivo Companies in Buffalo, NY is seeking a full-time 2nd shift technician (Noon–8 PM) to service our fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a modern, well-equipped shop.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive, truck, or bus repair, a valid driver’s license, and owns essential hand tools. NY inspector certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in automotive, truck, or bus repair.
• Must own and maintain proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Proficient with computer operation/usage.
• Valid driver’s license.
• NYS motor vehicle inspector certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems.
• Follow established technical and administrative processes; complete repair orders and parts forms.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, team, and customers.
• Stay current on technical and regulatory requirements; respond to road service calls as needed.
