Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; a technical diploma or degree in diesel mechanics is a huge plus!
• At least 1 year of dedicated diesel mechanic experience.
• Computer literate and eager to learn diagnostic software.
• Ability to pass safety standards for safety-sensitive roles.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Independence to take a work order and follow detailed instructions.
• Able to read/understand English repair and parts manuals.
• Capable of safely operating fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy-duty diesel trucks, hydraulics, and equipment.
• Maintain and fine-tune a diverse lineup of heavy diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles.
• Plan and schedule repairs in the M5 planner, procure exact parts for flawless execution.
• Ensure safety by following all federal, state, and company safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to review write-ups, coordinate shop schedules, and onboard/train new talent.
• Stay up-to-date on industry technology through hands-on practice and corporate training.
• Bring and maintain personal hand/power tools and keep a clean, organized work area.
