Job summary

Ultipro in Spanish Fort, AL is seeking a reliable forklift operator to support lumber treatment operations. You will load/unload lumber, prepare material for treatment, run the transfer deck controls, and assist Engineers to keep production flowing.

High school diploma or GED is preferred, and forklift experience of 2+ years is required. You will also help with month-end inventory, housekeeping, and material handling duties, with competitive pay and full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist treating engineers by preparing lumber for treatment.
• Load and unload lumber using forklift, stacking lumber 10-15 feet high.
• Operate transfer deck controls.
• Drill to bore material samples.
• Banding tool and tag gun to prepare lumber for treatment.
• Monitor trams and cylinder production for efficient flow of material.
• Perform housekeeping around cylinder and tram area.
• Assist in month-end inventory activities.
• Assist in picking up lumber and other materials due to spills as requested by Supervisor.

• Monitors trams and production of cylinders to ensure efficient flow of material through equipment.
• Performs housekeeping and clean-up around cylinder and tram area.
• Assists in picking up lumber and other materials due to spills as requested by Supervisor.
• Assists in month-end inventory activities.
