Job summary

Methacton School District is seeking a 2nd Shift Custodian for Arcola Intermediate School and Skyview Upper Elementary School in Pennsylvania. The role runs 3:00pm–11:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday, totaling 247 working days plus 13 holidays.

The position offers full-time status under the current Teamsters Local #384 agreement with a starting wage of $28.44 per hour. Candidates should meet physical requirements and pass required clearances, including Act 34, Act 151, and FBI fingerprinting.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of lifting 50-75 lbs.
• Must be physically able to climb step ladder and extension ladder for lamp and ceiling tile replacement.
• Prior custodial work experience a plus.
• Ability to work well with the entire school staff.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in routines and procedures as directed by Head Custodian or Assistant to Director of Facilities.
• Pre-employment physical (upon hire).
• Clearances: Act 34, Act 151 and FBI Fingerprint (upon hire).

Requirements

2. Must be physically able to climb step ladder and extension ladder for lamp and ceiling tile replacement.
3. Prior custodial work experience and basic working knowledge of custodial equipment is a plus.
4. Ability to work well with the entire school staff.
5. Ability to exercise good judgment in carrying out prescribed routines and procedures as directed by the Head Custodian or the Assistant to the Director of Facilities.
6. Any and all other duties as assigned.
7. Pre‑employment physical. (upon hire)
8. Current Act 34, Act 151 and FBI Fingerprint clearances (upon hire)
