Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Springfield, OH, is seeking a Dock Coordinator to manage dock space and prioritize freight, supporting efficient warehouse operations.

You will unload trucks with a forklift or pallet jack, stage products for breakdown, and route freight to replenishment aisles. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off; full-time shift starts at 7:30 PM and may vary with workload.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success.

The Dock Coordinator manages the dock space, including organization and prioritization of the freight.

You'll also be responsible for unloading trucks using a forklift/pallet jack, staging product to be broken down, and sorting freight to be hauled to replenishment aisles within the warehouse.

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions is required while you’re here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions).
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
